Dallas Police Chief's Plan To Reduce Violent Crime Receives Criticism

Dallas Police Chief Renée Hall's plan to reduce violent crime in the city is getting mixed reviews. Dallas had more than 200 murders in 2019 for the first time in more than ten years. Violent crime was up 15-percent from the year before. Last month, Mayor Eric Johnson asked Chief Hall and City Manager T.C. Broadnax to create a plan to combat the violent crime wave. Chief Hall submitted her 26-page plan on Thursday, outlining goals, strategies, and objectives.
